Shelby Grebenc is a 13-year-old who started her own egg farm in order to help with the family’s finances after her mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She became the youngest farmer in America to win the Animal Welfare Seal of Approval. Now that her mother’s health has improved, she is using the profits earned towards her college fund. This story is truly inspiring!

Beautiful story, and sad commentary on the lack of protection sick families have in the US, that you can lose your house if you get sick. Just like the DR.

I’m glad you pointed that out, Clara. People need to know that. Fortunately this child found a way to help her family by borrowing money from her grandmother. What about those that don’t have that option? Aquí o allá?!
