01 May “Eat Real Food”: Hall of Shame

With Nutella, KFC and Mad Cow Disease all in the news recently, I decided to dedicate today’s post to those “edible foodlike substances” who bring shame to the “Eat Real Food” game. Michael Pollan in his book ‘Food Rules’  said it best, “If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don’t.” Words to live by indeed! And note, the best foods have no ingredient labels at all… fruits and vegetables, anyone?

For more great ‘Food Rules’, pick up a copy of the book by the same name. It’s not science-y at all and you can finish reading it in a day!
