02 Apr Our Annual Wellness Retreat

This weekend my wellness group and I headed off to the Poconos in Pennsylvania for our annual retreat. The girls from the big city were able to get away and enjoy the great outdoors. We slept in the same log cabin, stayed up talking till the wee hours of the night and enjoyed being disconnected from our responsibilities while bonding with other women from all walks of life.

Fitness is a must if you want to be healthy. At the retreat, we centered ourselves with yoga, worked up a sweat in the zumba class, and went on a nature hike in the woods.

We also worked on strengthening our insides with self-development workshops on topics such as; learning to love ourselves more, creative journaling, and creating the lives we really want.

We took part in team-building exercises and activities that tested our endurance. Then we sang songs and played drums.

We made s’mores by the campfire. I had to disagree that you actually needed to have “some more”… one is more than enough!

All of us left refreshed and replenished.

Thank you to all our loving friends who helped make this happen.
