13 Apr My 3-Day Juice Cleanse

Tomorrow morning I will begin my juice cleanse. I’ve never done this before and so while I’m excited about trying something new, I also am facing my fears head on. The only other time I stopped eating solids was when I was going through chemotherapy and couldn’t keep anything down. This however, is by choice. I haven’t shared this with many people, but those who know, have confessed that they want to do the same to lose weight. Let’s be clear, this for me is very much a spiritual cleanse. While this can aid in weight loss, it’s a temporary solution that will likely change once solids are reintroduced. This is not an endurance test either. I know I am strong.

How is this spiritual? Well, I am sharing this experience with a group of likeminded people who mean the world to me. We will meet this evening, have an intimate ceremony and then will simultaneously begin our journey together for the next 3 days. During this time, I will refrain from my computer and most electronics. I will start and end my days with meditation and prayer.

On Tuesday, I will check back in with my experience and how I imagine, it transformed my life. Until then, be well.

how did it go? I saw your post via the JuiceWell facebook page and like you, am a cancer survivor and have NEVER done this before and am equal parts excited and nervous – so hard to do in the middle of our crazy city but – again, like you – I’m determined! Thanks for sharing, Diane

Thank you Diane! I would suggest that you check with your healthcare provider. For those of us who are undergoing/underwent cancer treatment we need to be extra careful. Wishing you well in all you do!
