26 Mar Juicing 101

Lately everyone has been asking me about my juicing regimen. So today I decided, I would share my thoughts and also give you a recipe to try. So why should you juice? This is one sure way to cleanse and feed your cells nutrients, enzymes, vitamins and minerals quickly. I like using green vegetables as a base because they are loaded with chlorophyll, then I will add other items just to change up the taste and so I don’t get bored. Another benefit is its ability to alkalize the blood. Don’t know what the means? No problem, just click here.

As a result of our highly acidic lifestyles, our digestive system can become overloaded and juicing allows for it to take a break since it doesn’t have any solids to process. Like most things, experts say it works and others say it doesn’t. I choose to follow my intuition and juice on most mornings, it only takes about 20 minutes for me to feel the immediate and positive results! And how else am I supposed to get all those vegetables in a day? When I don’t have the time, which is not often now that it’s become part of my morning ritual, I will use Pure Synergy® Superfood but as you will see, it’s pricey and nothing beats fresh.

I have bought my share of cheap juicers and while I spent around $300, my Omega 8006 is well worth every cent. It’s super easy to clean and has various uses. If you would like to compare based on your personal needs, check out this comparison chart.

Are smoothies (blended whole foods) better than juicing? I believe they both have benefits. Stay tuned for an upcoming post on this subject.
